How to celebrate oneself with others

Celebration is a phenomenon that occurs naturally. In youth we savour the fullness of joy from the smaller things in life. This freely given glee is a reminder of the unquenchable supply of love that exists to be tapped into at any time.

Celebration of oneself is a specific type of love. To spread unwavering, solid love, it must exist within the individual on a level where they embody it to themselves first. Through development I have experienced a deep sense of self-love that is a satellite sending and receiving signals on the same wavelength. This has not always been the case, there have been periods of time where I have not shown myself enough love. Thus crippling the transmitters sending joy out into the world. When this happens, it’s important to catch oneself without judgement and simply realign the mind and spirit. The analogy of being a transmitter is useful as it places emphasis on the message that one sends out. It makes me think about what energy and essence I want to spread.

Along the lines of transmission and signals, the topic of social media comes to mind. The internet as a tool of communication is inevitable, whatever we choose to do, we leave footprints in the snow online. To grasp this tool and use it on the front foot is a skill I’m improving with. Your perception can go before you and get you into rooms and in line for opportunities that wouldn’t have been apparent otherwise.

Entropy is the gradual decline of all things into chaos. To counteract this, tending and pruning is vital. This concept applies to communication as well. Over time your message will be misconstrued and warped to fit narratives. It is your own responsibility to reiterate your perspective so that it can be understood by other parties.

For me, commune with otherness is interesting as it often requires a knowledge of where one stands. After comparison to varying ideas, it can be made easier to know how one’s argument/perspective is positioned but prior to discourse, I can find myself feeling like my perspective is a standalone anomaly instead of a part of the bigger picture.

I’ve realised that I am the only one who can do my role justice in the play of life.

To know that about myself is to pay a level of respect to all other actors; they each have a role to play and are best suited for it.

I know I said I’d write this in a week, lol

Next time.
